Ralph-
i have been making up “Merger Projects” all day long. Fantasmic 4, Finding Namor, Peter Pan’s Alfa Flight, Country Bear Jubilee. Does this mean that Rob Leifeld is a Disney Artist? http://tinyurl.com/CheckOutTheFeet

I was curious about what Islands of Adventure would do with it’s Marvel rides, until “General Electric Co.’s Universal Studios has an attraction called Marvel Super Hero Island in Orlando, Fla., that will stay in existence as long as Universal wants to keep it there and follows the contract terms, Universal said.”
Well there ya go!
Sheesh, more Pixar AND Marvel rides at WDW? Well, Florida has plenty of room still. I think by 2080 the whole state will be a theme park.

I know most people are like, “I hope Disney doesn’t fuck up Marvel,” in this instance, but I’m the exact OPPOSITE.
There are approximately ZERO Marvel characters I could give two shits about, so I’m just hoping that I don’t see Spider-Man showing up in any of the theme parks.
As far as I’m concerned, Universal can HAVE the Marvel characters.

I really don’t see much changing at all. Warner owns DC and it has been somewhat for the better. I see more little kid geared merch and programing. I would hope that more care would be taken with protecting the major characters, and that this doesn’t put a wrench in the Avengers. With the parks. I agree with Shady. I don’t want any marvel mixed in with my Disney joy. Keep it in the MGM section or build Marvelland. I don’t want to see some Spiderman dude with an uncomfortable cod piece posing for pics next to Mickey. NO!

Dude, does this mean I’ll finally be able to meet Spider-Ham in the Magic Kingdom?
DREAM COME TRUE!!!!

HA! I KNEW you were going to chime in, John!
No, my point is this: I hope they just leave the two entities alone as much as possible.
And, John, YOU’RE THE PERSON who taught me that DC was FAR SUPERIOR to Marvel! Come on!

I love Marvel and I love Disney and I love ESPN, too.
What doesn’t Disney own? I wish I still had Marvel stock.
Unfortunately, the Marvel stock I owned went to zero many
years ago. Where’s my share of the billions?

You should write a letter to Stan Lee and ask if he could share some of his billions. He’s 86. He’s not going to be needing it much longer.
