The bill–which essentially gives police carte blanche to do as they will with non-citizens (to be read: “Mexicans”)–requires local police officers to question people about their immigration status, allows lawsuits against government agencies that hinder enforcement of immigration laws, and makes it illegal to hire illegal immigrants for day labor.
In related news, Brewer’s maid, landscaper, nanny, chef, chauffeur, pool boy, masseuse, personal assistant and secretary mysteriously disappeared late Friday.

This is a safety issue plain and simple. Stop labeling people racist!!! The more the Hispanic population grows the more violent crime grows! THAT’S A FACT!!!!!!!!!! I know America Was built on Immigration but when my ancestors came here they signed up at Ellis Island and flew American flags proudly. Hispanics fly there flag and have admitted to “Reconquista” witch is a plan to “take back the southwest” ??????? um it was never yours!!!!! In California’s high populated Hispanic areas school textbooks are teaching children that “this land used to be ours” ???????? what’s happening is wrong on all levels. I am not some redneck from Mississippi or something, I lived in East Hollywood Los Angeles CA for Four years. I had many Illegal friends. Also, and I don’t know what your history classes were like in high school, Dylan, but odds are whatever spot of land you’re standing on right now was once owned by Native Americans. i dont think this bill should have passed becasue this will be like a witch hunt police will start stopping every brown people like me for not reason or just the simple thing that they dont like how they dress or talk i thought this was a free country i have many friends they are illegal and trust me they try to keep it low they work hard cause they want to support their families overseas also i know its not right to b illegal but i would like to know if the people responsible for this bill would do the same if they were in their situation.
