And this one comes from the other side of the pond!

Thanks for sending it in, mystery European person!

Keeping on, going strong,

Sorry for the bombardment. Just getting caught up on some stuff.

This one’s going out to Marla and Brian,

…parked on the street in Beverly Hills:

Handi-man car

It was for one of those “rent-a-man” businesses; you know, where women can hire a guy to come to their house and do “manly” type of stuff, like fix things, drink beer and fart.

Side of Handi-man car

Anyway, as you can see, the side of the car had “HANDYMAN” written on it. And, as irony would have it, this was hanging from his rear-view mirror:

Handi-man's handicapped permit

Now, before I get a whole slew of hatemail, let me just say that I know that being handicapped doesn’t mean you can’t do handiwork.

It’s just that if you can, it’s pretty ironic and funny.

The coolest handyman is Handyman Negri,

To celebrate, I’m drinking a can of PBR while watching “Leprechaun 2.”

I’m not kidding.

…find one of their competitors and start giving THEM your money immediately. I’m sure they’re probably not any better, but examples need to be made.

Greedy fucking pigs.

And sadly, Congress is the dumbest group of the bunch! Morons!

Can you believe we pay the salaries of these assholes, just so they can go on and give more of our money to millionaires?!? What kind of fucked-up country is this?!?

And people are SCARED of socialism?!? I say bring it! It’s gotta be better than continually giving these undeserving rich douche bags more of our money.

I’d like to beat the members of Congress to death with the bodies of AIG management,

Okay… I think this is now officially ridiculous.

Thanks, Tim!

…I wrote this very brief review of Kenneth Pattengale’s CD “Storied Places.”

I’ve been listening to it a lot more lately, and the more I do the more I like it. For whatever reason, the first time I listened to the album all the way through I completely missed track six, “Memoirs of an Owned Dog.”

This song is both clever and depressing, and it’s quickly become my favorite off the album. It has great storytelling and makes me feel some odd present-day nostalgia for the relationship I have with my dog, Mr. Fabulous.

And yeah, that’s kinda cheesy for me to say, but everyonce in awhile it’s nice to be reminded of the fact that I do have a heart and aren’t as jaded as I assumed I was.

You can check out Pattengale and hear “Memoirs of an Owned Dog” on the audio player on his website here.

Time to give Fabulous a treat just because,

…that will be out later this year. My longtime friend Jeremy R. Scott (also known in larger circles as Jocco) will be illustrating it.

I’ll definitely be talking more about the book here in the next few weeks, but I wanted to spread the word about Jeremy’s new website. More specifically, about the online store section where he sells limited edition prints.

Jeremy’s been busy these past few months making new pieces based on a whole slew of pop culture yumminess including “Star Trek,” “Shaun of the Dead” and numerous Batman villains, to name a few.

Here are a few examples!

The Joker

"Shaun of the Dead"

"Star Trek"

The prints are a pretty good size (13 inches by 19 inches), a pretty good price ($30) and signed by Jeremy (priceless)!

So hop on over to his store here, and be sure to check out his actual site here when you’re done.

Nice work, Jeremy. Proud to finally be doing a book with you.

He’ll always be Jocco to me,

…and it takes awhile to get started, but once it gets going it’s pretty impressive.
