Amazing!

Larry!

Of!

All!

Yep.

A new dog.

Named after this character from Pee-wee’s Big Adventure (the one on the left).

"Is this something you could share with the rest of us, Amazing Larry?!?"

There will inevitably be many more Amazing Larry posts in the future, but to answer a few questions that are probably on your mind right now:

  • Yes, we know she looks a lot like Mr. Fabulous.
  • No, that was not planned. In fact, at first, we actively tried to avoid dogs that looked like Fab, but fate had other ideas.
  • Yes, Amazing Larry is a girl.
  • Yes, she suffered a (minor) injury within the first three hours of bringing her home. Because of course she did.
  • No, she hasn’t killed any of the cats yet.
  • Yes, the cats want to kill her.

Stay tuned for the shenanigans,

Triviality: Episode 178... featuring me!

My good friend Neal invited me to be a guest on Triviality, a trivia podcast (duh) he hosts with three other guys.

I had a great time being on the show, so big thanks to Neal, Matt, Jeff, and Ken for having me on.

If you’re interested in hearing me get a sports question right (I’m just as shocked as you are) look for Episode 178 at your podcast service of choice here, and then learn more about Triviality here.

I’d murder at serial killer trivia,

Whoops!

I spend much of my day writing. Or at least I try to.

Most of my writing is on long-form projects than can often take months to create. Because of this, I sometimes write a short (most times comedic, other times not so much) to break up the monotony. But while these shorts are fun to write as an exercise, nobody ever really gets to read them.

To remedy this, I’ve decided to share them here. I’m doing this for two reasons:

1. I like to share! And it’s better than having them sit on my laptop.

2. It’s my hope that someone will be inspired to actually do something creative with them. Want to film one as a short? Awesome. Interested in animating one? Go for it. Feel like performing one live onstage? I dare you. All I ask is that you give me credit and send me a copy of the final product.

The forty-ninth of Shady’s Shorts is called The Lion King: Blooper Reel.
