"POST CRASH" by my beautiful sister, Bethany Shady!

My super-talented sister just released her new book, Post Crash! This book marks the first release in a three-part series called “The Finneus Winch Trilogy.”

At 334 pages, this book has an impressive spine! Just like the Elephant Man!

"POST CRASH" by my beautiful sister, Bethany Shady!

What’s that? You want to know what the book is about? Well, okay!

POST CRASH: Finneus Winch Book One

After his father’s Royal Air Force plane is shot down, eleven-year-old Finneus Winch is sent to stay with his grandparents in the quiet town of Pickridge. But when a small Royal Mail airplane crashes in his grandparents’ backyard, Finn finds that Pickridge is far from boring. With the pilot nowhere to be found, Finn snatches a bag of post from the cargo hold just before the plane disappears. Finn sets off to deliver the post to the unusual residents of Pickridge, and along the way discovers that each letter contains a clue, and he’s being sent on a secret mission.

The book is labeled as middle-grade fiction for ages eight and up, but I thoroughly enjoyed it and I’m a bald guy pushing 40! Don’t judge me!

So what are you waiting for? Pick up a paperback or Kindle version (or both) here. If Nooks are your thing, you can pick up a copy here!

You can also get an autographed copy of the paperback (plus a free Tiny Ninja) if you order directly from Beth here!

More exclamation points!

So get reading, y’all. You’ll be glad you did.

Couldn’t be a prouder brother,

This place has everything,

The artwork of my good friend Erik Rose, who was the illustrator mastermind behind “The Roberts,” returns to bookstore shelves this fall with “The Dude Abides: The Gospel According to the Coen Brothers.”

Written by author Cathleen Falsani, a longtime religion columnist for the “Chicago Sun-Times,” “The Dude Abides” explores the religious connections and themes throughout the cinematic catalog of the Coen Brothers.

Erik created a new piece of artwork for each chapter of the book, which is broken down by movie. You can see three of the pieces here:

"Barton Fink" by Erik Rose

"The Hudsucker Proxy" by Erik Rose

"No Country For Old Men" by Erik Rose

You can also click here to check out Erik’s blog and see more art from the book.

The book will be in stores this September or October, so keep your eyes peeled. Or, if you’re the more proactive type, you can reserve your copy here on Amazon.

You’re out of your element, Donny,

Clocking in at 144 pages of murder and mayhem, Image/Shadowline releases a collected trade of the sold-out two-issue mini-series “The Roberts” today!

"The Roberts" graphic novel cover

Head on out to your local comic shop or indie bookstore and pick yourself up a copy. Or you can hop on over to here and get one delivered right to your front door!

Erik and I worked hard on this puppy and we’re damn proud of it. The collected trade includes 48 pages of new material including correspondence between yours truly and Charles Manson and Richard Ramirez, as well as a brand-new four-page story.

Dig it, and dig it well!

Or at least that’s what I’m being told.

Lemme bring you up to speed:

I wrote a little all-ages book called “Missing the Boat” that Image/Shadowline/Silverline is publishing. This 88-page full-color beauty was drawn by the super-talented Serbian monster Dwellephant! And the best part?!? The best part, my friends, is that this book is in stores today!

Don’t have a copy? Call up your local indie bookshop and order one.

Don’t have any legs to get to said local indie bookshop? Visit here and order one.

Want me to sign your book? Awesome, because I totally want to sign it! Unfortunately, I don’t have my copies yet, so you’ll have to wait!

Dwellephant and I worked hard on this book for months, and I’m so happy and proud (and relieved) that it’s finally out. Now I just hope it sells a million copies so I can finally pay off my school loans.

Or I hope it sells at least ten copies.

I need a life bailout,
