So many great friends!

a bit about this a few weeks ago, but thanks to Erik, Robyn, Milan, Dori, and Jodi for stopping by for a super fun Food Night!

It was like 2005 all over again,

…to get back to L.A. a few weeks ago, where I ran into Kelsey at LAX (on her way to Dublin, via Berlin, where we would meet up again later)…

Kelsey at LAX!

…and then hung out with friends for a Super Bowl Food Night at Suephus’ place.

Suephus' Super Bowl Food Night!

Miss all you guys,

Come on, buttered popcorn!

But sadly, the jellybean didn’t make it.

Guess the point is moot.

Kind of glad it didn’t,

Five days later, on Sunday, November 9th, we “held” our first L.A. Food Night.

Actually, that’s not entirely accurate. While KB and I did cook the meal that night—chicken manicotti—our friend Denise hosted, and the group was admittedly small. It was us, Denise, Lille, and two people we had just met, but would soon become close friends with: Mel and Kyle.

Here’s a photo of them with KB from that night:

And here’s another photo of the three of them nearly seven years later, shot during our going-away party on September 24th, 2015.

Our last official Food Night in L.A. was held on Sunday, September 20th, 2015. Unlike the first L.A. Food Night, a bunch of folks came out including our good friend Theune…

…Dima, Mana, and Greg…

…and a whole slew of other folks we love and miss dearly.

They’re all the best,

Definitely got our money's worth on this one!

You served us well,

Good riddance!

…you will not be missed.

It broke in the middle of a cronut Food Night,

Food Night made it official,

…my Onion “I enjoy drinking beer” glass.

Death by thyme,

…I finished off a cigar on our porch. It looked a lot like this:

KB gets the photo credit,

…right here:

Dmitriy walks through the door, showing up to Food Night late after everyone else has already eaten.

Dmitriy: You guys had salad for dinner tonight, didn’t you?

Shady: Yeah. Why?

Dmitriy: Because it’s in my bathtub downstairs.

I’ll let you figure that one out,

Old Poop!
