This amazing live (and one-shot) performance.

Long before men were mad,

…from “Sesame Street,” and it is a fun segment; but what’s really great about the skit is that the legendary Frank Oz plays the lead character, Mr. Draper.

What’s awesome about this is that it’s Frank’s first “Sesame Street” performance in nearly 15 years. Bert, Grover and Cookie Monster haven’t been the same since.

Check it out here:

Weird hearing a “Sesame Street” version of Rjd2’s opening song,

I change out the headers here on “The Blarg” pretty often. Over the past year, I’ve changed the header out nearly three dozen times.

My friend Shawn has a header archive over on his site, Darby’s Secret Stash. I thought that was a pretty good idea, so I decided to steal it! Mwa-ha-ha!

So here are all of the site’s headers from the past year. Some worked well; others are embarrassing. But hey, whatever… the site’s free. What do you want?

Here they are, shown from the oldest to the newest. Click on each banner to view a larger image.

Bruce banners,

…will feature a cameo from my good friend Mark Metcalf.

Mark Metcalf as Doug Neidermeyer in "Animal House."

You might recognize Mark from his past work as The Maestro on “Seinfeld,” The Master on “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” and as Doug Neidermeyer in “Animal House.”

Mark will have a small role this Sunday on the eighth episode (titled “Souvenir”) of the third season of AMC’s hit show, so keep an eye out for him!

A pledge pin,

First, what the “G.I. Joe” movie should have looked like.

And second, a famous mad man impersonating another famous mad man.

Makes me wish I had thought of these first,

…visit the set of AMC’s show “Mad Men.”

Our good friend Mark landed a guest spot on a future episode of the third season, and we dropped him off at the studio.

We didn’t get to see much, but as we walked up to his trailer we noticed a blonde woman sitting with her back to us, taking a break and smoking a cigarette.

Mark asked her if she knew where the AP was; she turned around and said she didn’t.

It was Betty Draper!

Betty Draper of "Mad Men"

I would’ve said it was January Jones, the actress who portrays Betty on the show, but sitting there with her hair and makeup done, in full costume and enjoying a smoke, she was more the character than the actress.

Pretty cool.

Thanks for bringing Kathy and I along, Mark! Can’t wait to see the episode!

Makes me want to take up smoking again,

-Shady

Old Poop!
