Back when I was living in Columbus, Ohio my friends and I started a quote wall. Whenever a bit of brilliance (or otherwise) poured out of someone’s mouth, somebody would yell “Quote!” thus nominating it for Quote Board status. The quote then had to be seconded by someone (it almost always was), and then it would be written down to be forever immortalized on the Quote Board.
This is the modern day equivalent of that classic piece of my past.

…and to Milan, Ciappa, and Tiggins for making the drive down from Milwaukee for what turned out to be an amazing St. Patrick’s Day weekend last month.
Grey finally met Henson (and partook in some shamrock-themed shenanigans)…
…and then Emjo joined us for a lasagna dinner.
The initial spark for the weekend was Ween, who played two live shows at the Aragon Ballroom on March 16th and 17th (we went to the show on the 17th).
The last time I saw Ween play live—with many of these same friends in attendance—was nearly twenty years ago.
Uncle Milan made Grey laugh…
…and Ciappa choke.
And then Marla joined us for a shrimp boil.
Then… things got weird. And drunk. And werewolf-y.
In the end, it was a fantastic weekend that made me nostalgic for days past, but also appreciative of lifelong friendships that will certainly last well into the future.
Let’s do it again soon,
…made me an old-school mixtape for my birthday last September.
It took me awhile to find and dig out a player, but I was finally able to listen to the tape earlier today!
Thanks for the mix, Tiggins! There’s a lot of great music on there, and I found myself becoming nostalgic for that old tape “hiss” sound.
I think we’re officially going steady now,
…for these sweet new Milwaukee Brewing Company pint glasses!
KB broke a fourth one before we left Chicago… dammit,
…I showed you these sweet pint glasses from Milwaukee Brewing Co. that my good friend Tiggins gave me last Christmas.
Last week, during our trip back home, he gave me a fifth (and newly designed) pint glass! This one is summer themed and features a sky full of fireworks.
Thanks again, Tiggins!
Man, this week has been full of gifts,
…got me a set of pint glasses from Milwaukee Brewing Co. last Christmas.
All four glasses feature Milwaukee’s cityscape, but each individual pint has its own unique feature. This one features the city’s iconic Allen-Bradley clock tower.
On this one, the Allen-Bradley clock has been replaced with the (now demolished) Sydney Hih building.
The Sasquash (from a seasonal brew of the same name) shows up on this one…
…and the last one features something the city of Milwaukee is all too familiar with.
Thanks for adding to my pint glass collection, Tiggins!

Now they just need some beer in them,
