“The Blarg” had its biggest day yesterday with nearly 420 unique views!
I’d like to think it was mostly because of this or this, but I’m more inclined to think it had to do with this. Especially with over 40 comments on the post.
Whatever the case, I’m just glad it happened!
Thanks to all the readers, and super-awesome thanks to those who’ve passed “The Blarg” along to friends.
Shooting for 500,

Remember yesterday… « THE BLARG
[…] 585 visits, biggest day yet, Blargers, murdered yesterday's record …when I was all like, “It was the biggest day yet on ‘The Blarg,’” and I wrote about hopefully breaking the 500 mark […]

ROFL, it is the audacity of someone actually stating a truth in politics. There are so many people falling for the mob, and so many people listening to radio and TV that doesn’t even bother to fact check before running a “story”… I am all for freedom of speech, but I am starting to think that the news being worth more because of the audience it brings (i.e. entertainment value) is a bad thing. So many people still believe that if it isn’t the truth they can’t say it on the “news”, it is quite amazing to me. Some of my friends that are for the most part quite intelligent people, listen to fox news and don’t see the outright lies. Of course conspiracies and fervor are interesting even if they aren’t true…
Reminds me of a movie in which you see the obvious best way and yell at the person in the story. However, to be fair if that best way would have been taken there wouldn’t have been much of a story (therefore the entertainment of the story would be nil.) Best example Labyrinth (one of my favorite childhood movies). Near the beginning she runs into a worm that directs her through a whole in the wall. If she just would have asked why the “other way” was bad. You know because it would have taken her straight to the middle of the labyrinth… Not sure that I articulated my point well, but never the less, I for one would like to see boring REAL news instead of entertainment that LIES. Where did truth in journalism go?

Truth in journalism died when TMZ and Rush Limbaugh were born.
PS: I love the “Labyrinth” example. PERFECT.
