Obviously, I have a special spot in my heart for Big Bird.

Thanks to Spooner for sending this along,
…but I just found it sitting on a shelf in Jorge’s garage.
That can only mean one of two things: Either every child of the 1980s had that same exact folder, or Jorge traveled back in time and stole it from my 1987 self.
If you know Jorge, both of these are possibilities.
Flash-folder,

Not sure why you can see Dori’s nipples through her shirt,
While in Hungary, KB, Emily and I visited the House of Hungarian Wines at Buda Castle in Budapest.
We each decided to do a prix fixe tasting of seven different wines (three whites, three reds, and a dessert wine), but were slightly caught off guard by the price when we realized each tasting cost around $40 each.
That price might be appropriate for Napa or Sonoma, but for Hungary (a country that isn’t even on the Euro yet, and currently has a 225-to-1 forint-to-dollar exchange rate) it was pretty steep.
Until we realized that by each “tasting” they meant “nearly full pour.” Needless to say, we were there quite awhile.
The night started off well with glass #1.
And the warmth began to set in with glass #2.
We chilled out with glass #3.
But the paranoia started to set in with glass #4.
Which created the prankster antics of glass #5.
Which lead to the violence of glass #6.
But in the end, like most people, we all fell in love with each other by glass #7.
Worth every dime,
Hard to find a condom that fits that,
…I posted this.
Earlier today, my sister sent me a link to this new Volkswagen commercial.
It’s nice to see Eduard Khil get a postmortem nod.
I also found this video on YouTube. As it turns out, Khil’s version was a cover of this original from the 1960s as sung by Russian singer Muslim Magomayev.
Good, but not nearly as amazing as the version I’ve grown to love.
We played that song at our wedding,

…to stylish fashionista…
…to entertaining tumor growing out of Beth’s head.
But most of the time, I was just an adorable kid.
Not sure when that all changed,
I almost forgot to post this!
Back in December, I got my fourth tattoo. I had been thinking about getting this one for years now, so when KB got me a free tattoo “coupon” for my birthday last September, I decided to cash it in while we were back in Milwaukee for Christmas.
Adam of Adambomb Tattoo Gallerie did the actual inking (he’s done my last three tattoos), but the artwork for the piece was done by my good friend Dwellephant.
The idea for the piece was simple: a line of handwritten text around my forearm that showcases the cities I’ve lived in.
Dwellephant got busy and sent me a few sketches:
In the end, I opted for the continuous-line, script version (with a few tweaks).
From Milwaukee (MKE)…
…to Columbus (CBUS)…
…to Los Angeles (LA)…
…with space for more. We’ll see what ends up in that spot.
Already thinking about tattoo #5,
