…I’m finally okay with letting Christmas creep its way into 2013.

I’ll start with this awesome item I found at the grocery store.

NINJABREAD!

I’d buy that… if I liked gingerbread,

A day before our Thanksgiving costume party, I shaved my mustache in preparation for my costume.

That night, I posted this photo of me and our friends’ daughter Anya on Facebook.

Baby vs. No Mustache

Sixteen people liked the photo. Five people commented on it. But not one of them noticed my missing mustache. Apparently, babies trump the absence of facial hair.

It wasn’t until the next day that my dad finally posted this comment: “Very cute, but where is that famous moustache?”

Good catch, Dad! Good catch.

Photos of babies with mustaches would be the most popular thing ever,

It was just getting good!

We’ll meet again… soon,

…for my Morticia costume yesterday, but for some reason the glue that came with the kit wouldn’t keep the nails on, so I had to scratch that part of the getup.

Still, I didn’t want the money we spent to be a complete loss, so earlier today I did this just for fun:

Not bad for a rookie.

They lasted less than an hour before I fucked them up.

I don’t know how women do it,

After signing up, it gives you a list of people in your area and then shows you their most recent posts.

That’s when I came across this:

Uh... what?

I deleted my account immediately after,

…because… honestly, I’m not sure how that happened, but it did.

Anyway, because of this fact, KB and I decided to turn our annual Thanksgiving get-together into a costumed dinner.

The whole gang showed up, including the Doctor and the Captain…

…Belle…

…and even Kanji got into the spirit by dressing up like a pumpkin.

Pumpkanji!

Oh! And Tio Salamanca from Breaking Bad showed up with his bell!

As for KB and me, we opted for two classics: Gomez and Morticia Addams.

KB pulls off a mustache about as well as I pull off heels,

Friends of the Southwest Museum: The Native Soil Project

…I posted this about a temporary sculpture that popped up on the corner of Fairfax and Pico over the weekend.

Yesterday, someone named Tanyad posted this as a comment: #nativesoil

After a quick Google search of the term, I found this.

Thanks to Tanyad for enlightening me,

Dwellephant's "Jake 'The Cake' Roberts."

…check out my good friend Dwellephant’s current show at Eat Cake! in Milwaukee.

Dwellephant has ten new pieces in the show (which celebrates the tenth anniversary of Eat Cake!) and each one of them is cake-centric.

The one above? Jake “The Cake” Roberts. The one below? Cake Winslet.

Dwellephant's "Cake Winslet."

Brilliant!

The show is up through December 16th, so check it out soon!
