I wrote four short pieces for today’s issue of “Variety.” The articles are for their “Nomination Wrap” section, and focus on the most powerful cinematic scenes of 2009.

I was assigned a pretty wide range of films; from a black-and-white German period piece, to an animated cartoon about an old man and his flying house.

Each article is short, around 100 words or so, but I think they turned out alright. Check ’em out below.

“Inglourious Basterds”

“The White Ribbon”

“District 9”

Someday a freelancer will write about my movie,

Have fun! Stay safe!

The last post of 2009,

First, Tyra Banks announces that her toxic talk show is going off the air, and now Rush Limbaugh has been rushed to the hospital with chest pains?!?

Hot damn!

Here’s hoping that every one of 2010’s 365 days is packed with such excitement!

Two for two,

I forgot to post these earlier, but here are a few photos of our Halloween costumes this year.

Kathy and I went as Dia de los Muertos skeletons. I painted my noggin like a plain white skull, while Kathy got really detailed and decorated her face with intricate patterns and designs. Pretty awesome.
